PMGO 2026 Season 2 comes to Lahore: dates, groups, and format confirmed
Big news for Pakistan esports: PUBG Mobile Global Open 2026 Season 2 will be played offline in Lahore from 20 to 25 October 2026. It is the first official global PUBG Mobile Esports event hosted in Pakistan. 32 teams from 8 regions play for a $500,000 prize pool and PMGC 2026 points.
The tournament is S-Tier on Liquipedia. It runs in Squads TPP. Organisers are KRAFTON, Level Infinite, StarLadder, and NODWIN Gaming. The official device is the Infinix GT 50 Pro. PUBG Mobile Esports announced the event with the line "The mountain yields. We rise."
Three Pakistani organisations are in the field: 4Thrives Esports, LF Esports, and 777 Esports.

Format
Group Stage (20-21 October)
- 32 teams split into 2 groups of 16
- Each group plays 6 matches
- Top 6 in each group go straight to the Grand Finals
- 7th-14th in each group drop to the Survival Stage
- Bottom 2 in each group are eliminated
Survival Stage (22 October)
- 16 teams: 7th-14th from both groups
- 6 matches
- Top 4 reach the Grand Finals; the other 12 are eliminated
Grand Finals (24-25 October)
- 16 teams: 12 from the Group Stage, 4 from the Survival Stage
- Day 1 is a normal 6-match day
- Day 2 uses the Smash Rule
How the Smash Rule works: A team that reaches the Match Point threshold becomes "Match Point Eligible". Liquipedia lists the threshold as Match #6 Top 1 + 10 points. The first eligible team to win a chicken dinner (WWCD) is champion at once. If no eligible team takes a WWCD by Match 12, a 13th match is played. The winner of the Erangel Showmatch - Midnight Hunters at the start of Day 2 bans one map. The overall leader after Match 12 then picks the map for Match 13.

Each elimination is worth 1 point. Ties break on total WWCDs, then placement points, then elimination points, then best placement in the most recent match. In the Group and Survival Stages, a points tie on a qualification spot is settled by a Team Deathmatch tiebreaker instead.
